After more than 30 years in the automotive retail sector, Gary and son Tom founded the London Gun Company. Having started as an automotive apprentice in the 1970s, Gary’s automotive career saw him head up high profile Mercedes-Benz dealerships and operate the exclusive limousine company for the brand as part of the prestigious H.R. Owen group.
Gary has always shot as a pastime and it was his interest which first sparked Tom’s passion for the sport. As director of London Gun Company, he has implemented many of the business processes and customer service principles he has learned throughout his career.
When shooting turned from a fun day out to serious competition, Tom dedicated several years to competing at the highest levels. At the same time, he cut his teeth in the gun business working for a number of well-known providers in London.
When he decided to take a break from competition and turned his attention to business matters, he convinced his father that their combined knowledge of shotguns, game shooting and retailing would stand them in good stead when launching their own venture. Tom has now returned to competitive shooting as well as providing managerial and coaching services to the company.
