Another great name from Italy’s Brescia gunmaking region, the Galesi family opened their factory in 1900. The first two decades saw mainly side-by-sides and pistols produced expanding to include over-and-unders after WWII. Today, production continues from its 10,000 sq m factory with subsidiaries in the US and France.

Spanish gunmakers Augiree y Aranzabal or AYA first came onto the British market in the 1950s. AYA began developing guns for the UK marketing including sidelocks No.1 and No.2 and No.3, a non-ejector boxlock (non-ejectors are no longer made by the company). Today, No.37 and the Augusta over-and-unders are popular.
